Last Updated: 2025
1. Acceptance of Terms
By booking services with Good Neighbor Exterior Cleaning, whether online, by phone, by text, or in person, you agree to these Terms and Conditions in full. If you do not agree, please do not book services.
2. Services
Good Neighbor Exterior Cleaning provides residential and commercial exterior cleaning services including window washing, gutter cleaning, pressure washing, soft washing, solar panel cleaning, screen repair, and related services. Service details, pricing, and scope will be confirmed prior to the start of work through an estimate, proposal, or written communication. We reserve the right to decline any job at our discretion.
3. Estimates and Pricing
All estimates are based on visible conditions at the time of quoting and are subject to change if actual conditions differ from what was disclosed or observed.
Prices may be adjusted on-site if additional work is required due to conditions not apparent during the initial estimate, including but not limited to excessive buildup, hard water staining, or inaccessible areas.
Any additional services requested on-site will be quoted and must be approved by the customer before work begins.
Hard water removal, screen cleaning, track cleaning, interior cleaning, and other add-on services are not included in a standard window cleaning quote unless expressly stated.
4. Payment Terms
Payment is due in full upon completion of service unless a separate written agreement has been made in advance.
We accept cash, check, and major credit cards. A processing fee may apply to card payments.
Invoices not paid within 14 days of the service date will incur a late fee of $25 or 1.5% per month, whichever is greater.
We reserve the right to suspend or cancel recurring services for any account with an outstanding unpaid balance.
Returned checks will incur a $35 returned check fee.
5. Cancellations and Rescheduling
A minimum of 48 hours notice is required for all cancellations and rescheduling requests.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled appointment may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to $50.
Same-day cancellations or failure to provide access to the property at the scheduled time will result in a $50 cancellation fee.
Recurring plan customers who cancel before completing one full year of service will be required to pay the difference between the discounted plan rate and the standard rate for all services rendered.
6. Property Access and Customer Responsibilities
The customer is responsible for:
Providing safe, unobstructed access to all areas to be serviced, including unlocking gates, moving vehicles, and clearing work areas
Removing or securing fragile, valuable, or irreplaceable items near windows, gutters, or any work area prior to service
Securing all pets indoors during the service
Disclosing any known property conditions that may affect the safety of our technicians or the outcome of the service, including but not limited to unstable surfaces, broken fixtures, or hazardous materials
Failure to meet these responsibilities may result in incomplete service, rescheduling, or a cancellation fee, and Good Neighbor Exterior Cleaning shall not be liable for any resulting damage or missed work.
7. Pre-Existing Conditions and Limitation of Liability for Damage
Good Neighbor Exterior Cleaning is not responsible for any damage caused by or related to pre-existing conditions. This includes but is not limited to:
Fogged, cracked, chipped, or broken glass
Failed or damaged window seals (evidenced by interior fogging or condensation between panes)
Rotted, deteriorated, warped, or improperly installed window frames or sills
Screens that are loose, torn, bent, improperly fitted, or in deteriorated condition prior to service
Paint, caulking, or weatherstripping that is peeling, cracked, or otherwise compromised
Gutters, downspouts, or fascia that are loose, rusted, improperly secured, or structurally compromised
Exterior surfaces that are unstable, improperly sealed, or sensitive to water or cleaning solutions
Our technicians will make reasonable efforts to identify and communicate pre-existing conditions before beginning work. However, some conditions may not be visible until cleaning begins. By booking service, the customer acknowledges that Good Neighbor Exterior Cleaning cannot be held responsible for damage that is the result of pre-existing conditions, regardless of when those conditions are discovered.
8. Screens
Window screens are fragile by nature and may be in varying states of wear. Good Neighbor Exterior Cleaning handles all screens with care, but we are not responsible for damage to screens that are already torn, bent, improperly fitted, or structurally weakened prior to service. Any screen damage observed by our technician will be communicated to the customer before removal or cleaning. Screen repair and replacement services are available at an additional cost.
9. Weather and Rescheduling
Good Neighbor Exterior Cleaning reserves the right to reschedule any appointment due to weather conditions that are unsafe for our technicians or that would prevent a quality outcome, including but not limited to rain, high wind, freezing temperatures, or lightning. We will contact the customer as soon as possible to arrange a new appointment at no additional charge.
10. Rain Guarantee
If it rains within 7 days of your service date and you notice water spots on your windows, contact us within that 7-day window and we will return to touch up the affected windows at no charge. Quarterly and Monthly plan customers receive unlimited rain touch-ups between scheduled services. This guarantee applies to exterior window cleaning only and does not apply to windows that have been exposed to sprinkler overspray, construction runoff, or other non-rain water sources after the service date.
11. Satisfaction Guarantee
We stand behind our work 100%. If you are not satisfied with any aspect of your service, notify us within 48 hours of job completion and we will return to address the issue at no charge. Concerns reported after 48 hours will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Our satisfaction guarantee covers the quality of work performed and does not apply to outcomes affected by pre-existing conditions as described in Section 7.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
Good Neighbor Exterior Cleaning's total liability for any claim arising from services rendered is limited to the amount paid by the customer for the specific service in question.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages of any kind.
All claims for damage or unsatisfactory work must be reported in writing within 7 days of the service date. Claims reported after 7 days will not be considered.
By booking service, the customer agrees that this limitation of liability is a material term of the agreement and is reasonable given the nature and cost of the services provided.
13. Recurring Service Plans
Customers enrolled in a recurring maintenance plan agree to the following:
Services will be scheduled automatically at the agreed frequency and the customer will receive advance notice before each visit.
Plan pricing is locked in for 12 months from the enrollment date.
Good Neighbor Exterior Cleaning reserves the right to adjust plan pricing after 12 months with a minimum of 30 days written notice.
Either party may cancel a recurring plan with 14 days written notice.
Customers who cancel before completing 12 months of service will be charged the difference between the discounted plan rate and the standard rate for all services already rendered.
A $50 same-day cancellation fee applies if the customer is unavailable or denies access on a scheduled service date.
14. Photos
Good Neighbor Exterior Cleaning may take before and after photos of the work area for quality control, training, and marketing purposes. Photos will not include identifiable personal information. If you do not wish to have photos taken of your property, please notify us in writing before your service date.
